Kathryn and Michael’s Magical Wedding on North Stradbroke Island

What a magical way to tie the knot? Kathryn and Michael held their beautiful wedding on the picturesque island on North Stradbroke. Set against the backdrop of stunning views, blue skies, and playful dolphins in the bay, their autumn wedding was nothing short of a dream come true. With family and friends gathering from near and far, both local and overseas guests were left in awe of the island’s natural beauty and the couple’s heartfelt celebration.
The ceremony and reception were flawlessly styled by the talented team at Miss Weddings. Every detail was meticulously planned by our co-ordinator Suzie, ensuring a day of elegance and romance. Local wedding suppliers were also brought together to help; Music, DJ services, and bridal transport were expertly handled by ‘Mr Entertainment’, while guests were transported by the charismatic ‘Barefoot Dave’ from ‘Straddie Kingfisher Tours’. Accommodation was arranged for all at the luxurious North Stradbroke Island Beach Hotel and Allure Stradbroke Resort.
The ceremony was a simple yet incredibly touching affair, with the Bride and Groom walking down the aisle together. As the guests rose to their feet, the atmosphere filled with love and anticipation.
The Bride looked radiant having spent the morning alongside her mother and Bridesmaid being pampered by our professional makeup artist Suzie from An Eye for Style.
Kathryn’s Aunt and Michael’s sister shared heartfelt words from Robert Fulghum, reminding everyone that their lives would forever be changed from this moment forward. Our celebrant Ketrina Coffey, ensured their union became official and then there was the a biggest shower of confetti (bio-degradable of course) as the Newly-Weds danced their way down the aisle as husband and wife.
Wasting no time, guests were ushered for their group and family photo’s. Then the couple and Bridal party were whisked away by our photographer Romana & videographer Marty to catch all what the ‘twilight hour’ on Straddie has to offer. – The photo’s speak for themselves.
Guests were transported back to The North Stradbroke Island Beach Hotel, where they mingled over pre-dinner drinks and enjoyed mesmerizing sunset views. Upstairs, to the reception room everyone was wow’d! The room looked amazing, Miss Weddings’ did it again. A truly magical setting with the wedding cake, expertly crafted by @cakesbysimone, stood proudly as a centerpiece.
It was a fun night, the atmosphere was filled with laughter, dancing, and heartfelt toasts. It was certainly a wedding to remember.
