The Redlands Coast Wedding Trail website and event is the creation of three gal pals, all wedding industry pros and very proud Redlands Coast locals. Keen to collaborate and get more wedding friends involved in a wedding showcase of sorts, the three (over a few lunch wines) decided to launch something AMAZING!!
The inaugural Redlands Coast Wedding Trail event 2022 (RCWT) was created and resulted in an incredible event for both couples planning their weddings and for their fellow vendors alike.
Rather than a standard wedding showcase that would ordinarily feature just one wedding venue, the RCWT is a wedding trail that takes couples on an adventure to explore several venues and offer them the opportunity to meet the best wedding professionals in the Redlands along the way.
Those crazy friends are Nicci, Melissa and Romana.
This year – 2025, sees the introduction of two new faces to the RCWT team! One, (many in the industry already know), is Chelsea from Redland Bay Golf Club. And the other is Nicole, from the amazing Redlands Coast Collective Markets. We welcome these #bossladies into our fold and cannot wait to build our event with their collective wisdom and enthusiasm for the industry!
Nicci has been in the hospitality industry for 24 years, starting at the Grand View Hotel. Nicci worked her way up and found her niche. After several years, she travelled back to Sydney, expanding her skills. But the Redlands called her back home, where she went on to raise her family.
Nicci was also at the helm of Fiction as General Manager for 10 years. She’s the smiling face you see at just about every social event, and the welcoming voice that greets you on the phone. It’s her passion is to make people feel special and to embellish their lives.
Raving about about the Redlands, Nicci says it has so much to offer, with access to the best coastlines. Why not be the next big wedding destination! We have it all plus more.
Mel’s big leap into the wedding industry over 6 years ago was an eventual result of her own wedding! She loved the planning and decorating for her lavish wedding so much that she HAD to have more of it!! Even if it was for other beautiful couples.
She’s since landed her business in the top ten for Bride’s Choice Awards 2019 and is the preferred decorator for venues and planners such as Tangalooma Island Resort and Pop Up Weddings Bayside.
Melissa loves to create new and exciting looks for her couples, push the boundaries and work outside the box – she loves it when couples are adventurous enough to say – “Just make it beautiful for me! Surprise me!”
Family, the beach and sauv blanc are this girls absolute favourite things! (outside her weddings of course lol)
Romana is a seasoned wedding industry pro. With a B.A. in Photography, triple major in photographic art, photo journalism and art theory, Romana shot her first wedding back in 2000! But that doesn’t make her old lol! Just an early starter.
One of the Pop Up Weddings Bayside developers and owner of Elope Brisbane, Romana likes to be busy, busy, busy. It keeps those creative juices flowing!
All that hard work pays off, because in the years that were hardest for most, she’s taken out Australia and Brisbane’s Best wedding photographer awards over the 2020-2022!
When she isn’t shooting, photoshopping, planning elopements and business building, Romana is glamping with her family and 1973 kombi, Busta Rydes.
Chelsea Marr is the Events and Operations Manager at the award-winning Redland Bay Golf Club.
Known for her fun and creative approach, she ensures every event, from weddings to corporate functions, runs smoothly with a personal touch that makes each occasion special.
Outside of work, Chelsea is a proud mum of three, balancing family life with her passion for event planning. Her energy and attention to detail bring a fresh, fun vibe to every event she oversees.
Nicole is the Creator and Business owner of Redlands Coast Collective Markets, Redlands largest Markets.
Her passion for organising and love of a good market is how Redlands Coast Markets were born. Established in 2016 these Markets have not only survived but thrived through Covid where most outdoor businesses were forced to shut down.
Nicole is passionate about supporting local Redlands based Businesses by giving them a platform to showcase their businesses at the Market.
Fun Fact, Nicole used to be a Wedding Co-Ordinator so she understands what’s important about your wedding. Nicole loves nothing more than packing up her caravan and camping in the middle of nowhere with her dog, bottle of Wine and a good book.
The Redlands Coast Wedding Trail is proudly sponsored by Redland City Council.
